Why couldn't I have seen one show of this tour live? Sure, I might have been three, but christ, best tour ever by anyone, I'm sure I would've apreciated it on some level as a three year old. Well, at least we can count on Largo for Pro shot Video from the 70s. Thanks fine people of Largo.

Notes: With MTV Europe and VH1-UK airing the first half of the Barcelona show live, "Dancing in the Dark" is moved to the main set for the first time, just after "Mary's Place," to close out the broadcast. From the opening "The Rising" to "Dancing in the Dark," 13 current tour standards went out over the European airwaves. (For those in the U.S., nothing is currently set in stone, but source at VH1 reports suggests a broadcast is in the works for December.) After "Dancing in the Dark," with the cameras off, several surprises: the tour debut of "Spirit in the Night" followed by "Incident," both solo piano; "Night" to open the first encore; and the return of "Thunder Road" as a bonus to close the show.

Notes: The first encore started off with Roy by himself on piano, playing what turned into the tour debut of "Stand on It." Other non-standards include "Night," "Something in the Night," "You Can Look," "No Surrender," and a solo piano "For You." Elliott Murphy is two for three on the European leg so far, guesting again on "Born to Run." Other highlights came courtesy of the enthusiastic (to say the least) Italian crowd-- their singing brought an extended "Waitin' on a Sunny Day," as well a surprise ending to the show. "Thunder Road" was already a bonus show-closer after "Land of Hope and Dreams." But when the crowd continued to sing the melody to Clarence's solo even as the roadies were breaking down the equipment, Springsteen came back onstage and accompanied the crowd on piano for an extra "Thunder Road" coda.
